Awesome stream agerm. I always wondered what a game would be like from an opponent’s perspective and this had all phases.

Quite a few teams we have faced have done the third and long inside run to avoid the strip sack. I know we will win every time I see that. I think it’s best to let er rip and see what happens.

I set my up and down big settings to 111 points so it never fires. Sometimes a few unlucky plays get you down three TDs even though the game plan was solid. Once down big fires there is no game plan.

I find this a weird litmus test / conclusion honestly.

I think the opposite.

But it’s totally accurate. All I have to do is get those teams to third and long once a drive and it’s over. You get 3 plays to get a first down why purposely give yourself only two? Not like every sack is a fumble and not every fumble is recovered by the defense. Whoville and Lexington both converted third and very longs in our last game. I guess I trust my defense more than some.

But at Rookie, lots of drives stall for a variety of reasons.

You say it's totally accurate, but against CPU teams people blitz all day precisely to get Third and Long and have them NOT do an inside run. The Third and Long sack/fumble is how you rack up such huge Offensive numbers against CPU teams at Rookie.

Are you including these games in your definition of accurate?

Every Turnover is worth 45 yards. You don't have to fumble on every Third and Long to expose the risk. So even if you "let it rip" on one Third and Long and make the First Down. You still need to make 3 more of them to offset the net yardage lost by one fumble.

CPU teams do not run inside on third and long. The main reason they get sacked so much is that CPU players are slow and take a long time to get to the marker.

Third and long comes up at some point on nearly every drive. May as we’ll punt on third down. Human teams are the ones that do this. As soon as I see this I know the game has been succeeded to us.

There are outside runs and anti blitz passes that have a decent rate of success. Many teams don’t blitz on and longs and many don’t do it every formation. Got to be a better play than a three yard run on third and 12.

I only run on third and long if I am playing against teams that blitz on third and long and that I believe are well built. I would never run on third and long against CPU teams or teams with CPU Blitzing LBs. But I know you too well OSIRIS

Very true. You went for it in today’s game. Not sure if you converted many third and longs but only one strip sack which you recovered. I thought you called a really good game. We just got all the breaks which I feel bad about.

Thank you ND Irish1. Working with agents like you makes the job easy.

Here is the blog link. It is older than the videos so some stuff may have changed but I think it is a good compliment to the videos.
