The description says that all players start with twice the normal value. But that is not the case. If I make a FS without natural and say select chase down artist instead. their sprinting is only 3 different. But if without natural they start with 11 sprinting. then when i add natural instead of say chase down artist, they should have 22 sprinting.

I do understand that would be crazy and if it did just that everyone would put it on every player, forever and always. What it actually does is add roughly 4-5 points more to each skill. Saying it adds 4 or 5 pts to each skill would be a more accurate description and would make more sense when we use it.

So either change the description or change the trait to double all starting values. My point is that if you say there is a base starting value for all players at each skill; as i tested with scout tool. Basically all Centers start with 8 sprinting even at 1 sprint. natural rose that straight to 11 or 12.

It does exactly what it says it does though

no it says the players start with twice the initial points in skills. so if they start with say 11 sprinting without natural, if I use natural they should start with 22 sprinting by that description. It only is a difference of 3-4 pts, but the players do not start out with only 3 sprinting they start with 11. simple math is 11x2=22 not 11x2=13.

It's referring to value invested in the skill, not the skill itself. Hence why some skills go up a point or down a point depending on your selected attributes and why less pricey skills get a bigger boost from natural

And I get part of that. But that means the description of the trait is clearly wrong

I get your take but it's highly doubtful they're going to change it. It's not the only thing in either game with 'iffy' wording of how something works or who it works for. Lots of threads out there about various queries on that subject matter and yet those descriptions still remain as they were written from the start. Sorry mate.

The description could read better for sure - but I explained why it's not clearly wrong.

Out of curiosity Corn, how much SP (value) is invested in each skill on creation?

From what I could tell by experimenting some is each dot is a little different depending on position.

I am very familiar with the old threads I have been around since season 2, except for the year break I just took. Sometimes if we find small things and show how it’s off they adjust it as it would be an easy adjustment

I'm pretty sure it's up to 500? Could be 1000 though. Don't have the code in front of me.

Also fun fact, Natural increases every skill in the game. Admittedly kicking isn't going to be super useful on a QB, but some running or tackling skills might be useful after a turnover or something.
