Personally I've known recruiting has been bad for ages since we'be kinda entered the "i'm not spending more money than i need to" / "i'm borderline done with this game" era, but Jesus it's worse than that now. Personally I'm currently recruiting a team hoping some new guys want to tag along and learn right (not going so great lol), but no... I just see them sticking to the forums with complaints. I've come to know many of you who are really hungry to get better, but overall the mass seems to be confused.
Listen guys, the Vets here are assholes and we know it. However, we are lovable assholes. We'll help you out with direction and everything, and when you see the chance to be apart of a unit with help willingly be provided, just take the opportunity. You guys are complaining for what? Because you decided to hop in, fill your own team, then proceed to play against other mediocre competitors. And then when you lose by numerous touchdowns to a vet team you claim it's our fault? Nooooooooooooooo. Stop it.
If you really want to get good you need to start from the bottom; you need to network with other players. Why do you think you never see these top teams recruiting (unless they're dealing with inactives)? Because they recruit from their network. We provide ample opportunity to learn and to even come under our wing to have your own defining moment (for me I became a coach on this team called Air Raid for their last few seasons, really good team, learned a lot from the organization). None of you guys seem to want to do that, you just want to keep wasting money on teams that you think would be great if everyone else who didn't put time and effort for years into this game didn't exist.
It's your choice guys, but stop coming for the vets for playing the game the right way
