With the max chemistry?

In my experience if you sign them too early they get 0 chemistry...if you sign them too late it's 0 chemistry. Is the secret sweet spot the 5 days after the offseason renegotiations?

You are safe right now during the Offseason as well.

Yeah, signing a player any time from the start of the offseason till 5 days into the season will result in the player starting at 50 chem instead of 0.

I wish I could go under the minimum of 36 players during the offseason

Just sign OLinemen on low contracts to fill space, until your free agents can come on board.
