Agree. I'm ok with having to get high balance on HBs as long as passing is nerfed to hell...specifically WRs.

It seems to me its really only deep passing now that needs the nerf. And that's simple, fix Pass Power in the manner Balance was fixed. Make a QB actually need to invest in arm strength(perhaps one of the most important traits in real football) in order to make an accurate deep throw that doesn't hang in the air and give a DB a play on the ball.

Edit: This would piss off a lot of agents with limp arm QBs in Vet

Looks like the arm strength thing was added to the changelog.

I saw that seconds after I posted here lol, I guess It was that obvious how to go about nerfing the deep balls.

I know I am very new here, but sometimes an outsiders POV can be meaningful. It seems like people are saying balance needs to be higher and that WRs don't have a lot of balance and don't see the hit.

I guess this is my question. Are WRs making catches and then making plays after the catch with low balance? I have to wonder if route technique helps a WR make cuts before the ball is in their hands and then after they catch it, the balance issue would be in play. If most WRs are built to jet get over the top or play under neath and get tackled I am not sure we would see any affect from the balance changes people are talking about.

WRs also have catch in stride and that specifically states it helps balances checks after the catch.

I just kind of wonder if the balance changes primarily affect players once the ball is in their hands and WRs have a way to mitigate the smaller penalty without the ball by having points in route running skills.

Most WR's run with 50ish level balance. If you have really low balance you were already falling on most screen catches and weren't making big plays after the catch down field.

So the balance change only comes into play after the catch, that is what I am taking. So if someone is a pure speed get over the top it won't have much affect at all. Especially if they have catch in stride.

Yes mostly after the catch for WR's.

The biggest issue people had with WRs was that with little balance invested, their route running was not effected. They would just blow by CBs. However, CBs with little balance would take foreeeeeever to turn their hips/around and run with the WR, hence why the WR would blow by them. Or ever worse, the CBs would sometimes just fall down...for no reason other than low balance. Low balance seemingly had zero effect on WRs running while destroyed CBs running.

While somewhat true. Most CB's were running around with almost no points in balance. WR's generally put some minimum balance in order to help CIS and screens.

Who the hell would build a CB with zero invested in balance? Corndog posted several seasons ago that balance helped with turning around. I actually remember posting something like that a few seasons ago and everybody called me a liar

Trust me GLB scum...I have been around a looooooong time. My knowledge is valuable

I had one of the best CB's in GLB until mid last season with zero investment in balance. Of course then he sucked.
