Really wish Stobie's tool had a way to count SA firing. At the end of the day we can only do the eye test.

fun one from todays game

freight train is an especially bad choice as it fires off intimidation, it requires a slow heavy intimidation and power running back. I say slow because once you've invested in power running and intimidation to make freight train better than either power through or even grinder - you've got no points left for the build.

This is where my curiosity is high, how much Intimidation is good enough for the impact GE is looking for?

I like the different style of build to mix things up, and can understand the though if it works like you plan GE. Using Awareness to help fire everything, but will it help enough?

This guy illustrates the problem...

I even fully boosted him Intimidation is way too expensive for the return. If I try again I'm stopping at 65~70 Intimidation so I can at least get 100/100 Power Running/Conditioning. I tried to add too much heart also, I should have just tested Intimidation. I do want to try a 100/100/100/100 Power Running/Conditioning/Toughness/Heart S* HB also. He's probs have like 30 speed but I would love to see his tenacity.

I would say freight train requires speed actually, since the benefit of the SA is to reduce speed loss.

Trog had gold freight train, along with speed/power. http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/184227

After all that you'd be exceeingly lucky to eek out 30 sprint and nothing else :/ game is skill expensive man, and yet it punishes combo-style players in many, many ways.

Freight train is annoying, it fires irregularly off like 60 intimidation and fires like mad off 80, but the investment absolutely trashes a build and you can just have either grinder or power through to make use of skills you actually need for a powerback (intimidation does little else besides help freight train fire unfortunately. - it does lower opponent morale but unless you are running it towards the same side all game long it's not going to affect their morale any moreso than just having a bunch of broken tackles on the defense lowering the teams morale.)

Here is my old S* Power RB, he was built around Freight Train and had some success, although, he’s a pre-100/100/100 era build, so it’s not optimal by today’s standards:

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/155702

I’m pretty sure I retired him with the build open so you can see the build and SAs. He had some nice runs where FT kicked in but, overall, I’m not sure the point investment in intimidation was worth losing the speed/conditioning you could get by investing those points in those stats. It’s fun to experiment with new builds though.

exactly!

Also everyone else was showing off nice jukes so here's one from today:

And I know there's no juke but the very next touch chicken got was equally impressive:

anyone ever try surge/mr reliable/freight train back?

seems like an interesting combo for speed+break tackling if it freight train ended up being worthwhile at all.

He is too slow. The whole point of getting freight train is to not lose speed while getting tackled...and demoralize the tackler, which should help shedding the tackle.
