No it's not bad if you think your team won't be competitive going into your Soph season.. If you think you can continue to build your team as you progress through the different levels then don't reset the team. Gauge how your team progresses in the soph level.
You can build you team by looking at player postings on the community boards or by posting an ad yourself looking for soph players.

Lots of people do it when they feel their team won't be competitive moving forward. One thing to keep in mind though, the players on the team don't automatically go back to rookie level, they will still be sophomore level. Also, unless you have regained all the necessary superstar points, you won't be able to make rookie level superstars, your current superstars will all still be sophomore level.
Also, GG, I hope our game didn't push you over the edge on wanting to reset. Honestly, I'd probably push ahead with what you have and try to fill out the roster next season with sophomore level players that lost their teams from resets. Winning consistently requires good player builds and good game planning, resetting this early won't really help either in my opinion.

I am a fan of resetting if your roster isn't full and dialed in. Each season after this one things will get much tougher. Next season all the full rosters and good teams will be moving up and you will find yourself with very few winnable games.
You may be able to poach players from all the other teams resetting and fill your roster this offseason. This may be the best option for you because your team is half filled already and you won't lose your S*s. You just have to work hard in the offseason.
