Is this ability useful for the OL and DT positions? Thanks!

Useful enough for o line if run heavy, but could use better SAs, and very useful for d linemen if paired with spin cycle and shed block and a decent enough dot build

On a defensive tackle it's not worth the investment I think, you should be investing in quickness and snap reaction already and while the headstart is nice you still need to be forcing your way out of multiple engagements from the DT spot so the benefit isn't as high as say on a speedy defensive end.
It can really help to make a speedy DE who has neglected quickness just a smidge to work on footwork for spin cycle to still be super deadly on some take-offs.
But on offense I can't tell ya, I'd imagine you'd only want it for a run blocking team as the bonus shouldn't help with backpedaling (footwork) to get into position like o-linemen do when pass blocking.

I love first step on DLineman personally. I am working it up on OLineman for BSB but it is not yet reliable... Should have a good idea if high sprint/first step is worthwhile for OLineman after BSBs first vet season (currently Pro).

I can definitely see the benefit, even on a DT the head start to engagements is huge. I just think that for DTs in particular Spin Move and Shed Block are both need-to-have at gold even if you are leaning one way or the other - and that the investment into first step isn't as easy a choice to take on the inside since the benefit is slightly lower and the demand on the player to make arm tackles in the run game while maintaining a decent level of pass rush and runblock defeating capabilities makes taking a tackling SA almost a requirement for the silver.
That's just my 2¢ on the DT part, it is still great for all d-linemen, just DTs have a lot to think about before taking it.

First Step is also nice when it fires after shed block too tgough which can be the difference between getting a body on a HB or not. I love the SA for DLineman!

On DTs, first step is awesome vs pulling guards and counters. Otherwise it is a waste.

Best SAs for S* DT are Gold Spin Cycle and Break Run Block, Silver Brick Wall and First Step.

fs is best for the run blocking center because they don't need pull specialist and they often can shoot to the second level right away on inside runs, especially out ood 4wr

Thanks guys! Sounds like it's not especially useful for the Offensive Line but can be used with success on Defense.
