Cheapening a little bit isn't such a problem, i see nothing wrong with a power tackler having 50-60 ish intercepting, but very high int should be way more effective, similar to power running.

Well, I'm for one or the other... either cheapening the cost or buffing the skill, though I'd prefer cheapening.

How many teams actually have over 60 at the INT skill on a single player? I would absolutely bet that Deevee's guy is an anomaly. But let's take a look at the dline he's working with. The dline hasn't generated much for hurries or sacks. Which isn't good because the LB's on their team haven't generated much either. Which is telling me that you aren't getting the pressure to give your INT guy the time to shine. That being said i understand that hey this guy has 90+ in int skill he should generate some shit right? I don't care to go to in depth into his stats however i will say that he plays cb2 which means he gets hit by a lot of underneath broken routes. If he were to play cb1 or 3 i get he would end with a couple interceptions a season with ease.

At the end of the day...I am just saying that this doesn't seem to be a team oriented thing anymore because power rushing is damn good still.

I actually thought interceptions were at a decent level like 8 seasons or so ago but at some point they kinda dropped off. I forget what season it was but I saw multiple guys go way down in interceptions after some offseason changes and if you look at the all-time best seasons nobody has even touched a top INT type season since. I don't think DeeVee's guy is an anamoly.

Sure you can say that less of us have invested heavily since then but it's something I observed and decided it wasn't worth going over like 30 anymore.

Also, many more teams have switched towards balanced and heavy rush offenses so there may be less opportunities for interceptions.

With all that said I still think the skill can use a minor boost. There are so many times I see a guy with a wide open interception opportunity and they just deflect it or miss it altogether.

I guess it was around season 19. These are just two guys but nobody has had a good season in the game since.
