Suuuure Cdog. I bet you played SS with rippling biceps and won state in your senior season too.

Strong Safety, the most glorious HS football position.

I've decided to reset my team back to rookie level following this season. I just renewed the team.

This season his been like a bad dream that kind of poisoned this team for me, but I'm not ready to give up this game just yet.

But to the game programmers, please try to have mercy on gamers like me and everyone not on one of the top 4 teams in Wolf-man league this season.

Please make this game more realistic, no worse than college fb, not high school type scores. Thanks!

Fix ur builds if you dont want to get destroyed. Its as simple as that.

There is no mercy in GLB

That is not the best ad campaign to keep players investing in this game.

I am not an advertiser. I am only here to collect trophies

I understand the frustation but what is the solution you are (not) suggesting? Make the game easier to the point that new owners/coaches can compete with old players on the same level, even with "bad" builds and gameplan?

And it isn't that hard to be competitive, when i started on glb2 i created some players and got on a team, mid season my friend bought a team and i started coaching, it was bad yes, but i did my research, studied the game, forums help a lot with building. On the off season i started recruiting for Vape, the following season i bought the team and started on rookie. Now i'm competing with the best teams on Vet.

College football is a pretty good analogy for the scores in this game actually.

Started from the bottom, now we're here. Coach Allen, you know I'm around to be able to discuss with. But you do have to realize, the game will never be like real life. It's not possible, just remember it's a numbers game. Read through what people have already been testing and found are successful, combine it with the knowledge you've been gaining and things will continue to look up. As a new guy, don't try to test something "New" and hope for success (we haven't learned enough yet). Get good at the basics of what does work, then start implementing or testing new ideas.

Having a player who can't dominate like a real life pro player is one thing. Having most teams not have a real chance at the playoffs is another.

A social game I can't recruit players to is not very social-able. I don't know how to tell buds to drop their X Box controller for a game that, odds are, they probably cannot win in or even taste a playoff game in as a team owner. The learning curve is too demanding compared to other games of this genre.

With complexity comes a steep learning curve. If this game was tic-tackle-toes I would have quit a long time ago. There is a huge sense of satisfaction you get from improving and taking down the unbeatable teams that used to run you over. It just takes a little research and observation.

GLB2 isn't XBox and thank God for that.

XBox is great for some games, but GLB2 is a thinking man's game. The good news is you and your friends can do both!

Yeah you suck now, but we all did. Stop worrying about it and figure out the game.

With regards to recruitment, this is like all social games. To get good players on your team, you have to earn their respect/admiration/etc. No one started playing EverQuest or World of Warcraft, made a level 1 toon and then started a guild and attracted the best players. It didn't happen and it doesn't happen.

Learn the game.
Get good at it.

Recruitment is ridiculously easy at that point while very hard at the point you are at.

I'd encourage you to stay, but only you can decide whether you want to live through the growing pains.

For coaching success at our levels of experience, you want to think more Vince Lombardi coaching style and combine it with player build.

Lombardi had his main 5 plays or so, and 1 was his famous Packers Sweep. Everyone knew that play was going to get called like 20 times but not everyone could stop it well enough to beat him. So he continued to use it.... in other words, pick some plays and build your players to maximize those main plays. Don't worry about trying to make every play successful, it won't happen. We can't change the plays around our players, so we have to change our players around the plays we choose.
