I created a player (non-pickup), then he got some contract offers, but I was unable to sign a contract because the game said I needed to spend some skill points to improve the player before I could sign a contract, so I did that but it still won't let me sign a contract! Does anybody know what to do?

Thanks! Now I can sign a contract with a team, that is after spending 5000 skill points.
