Forum > Suggestions > Give Legend teams a sense of identity

Since all legend teams are run but the CPU, that means the CPU will be setting up tactics, playbooks, etc...

Give each team an offensive and defensive scheme/philosophy they run, and put it on their team page. This way, when signing with a team, you can see if your player fits their scheme. I just signed my scrambling QB to a legend team and they never run any QB runs. If I could see that a team runs some QB runs, I could have tried to sign with them.

This will keep the tactics/playbooks controlled by the CPU but would give the agents the ability to see if a particular team fits the player.

Whoever down voted this, give me a good reason why this isn't a good suggestion.

Probably down voted as, like most of your suggestions, it does involve you gaining an advantage. I dont think any cpu teams have a QB rush usage, its mostly just scrambling on occasion.
If you added in qb rushing vs the cpu defenses it'd tear up, if only because qb rollouts need a special defense to stop them and focus on them, however I can understand even having a rush/pass heavy team, etc... then again, keeping all teams equal and the unpredictable nature of legend tiers, is why they're quite fun

I didn't down vote but I agree with jakedood. I don't think cheese is an official scheme. If it were based off one of the presets it would be an ok idea I suppose.

Cheese is bad in all forms, especially at Legend with CPUs.

What would be cool is to give each team unique bonuses.

Example: NY Lindy Hoppers - NYers are always confident at Home.
Home field bonus: Confidence/Heart +5
Road bonus: Slower Morale recovery when below 50 Morale.

Example: Phoenix Retirees
Games above 60 degrees: All players get a bonus to Consistency (+5).
Games below 60 degrees: All players get a negative to Consistency (-5).

Mix and match different things.

Playbooks could be slightly different, but no cheese.

That sounds like a funice idea, could be interesting. I doubt it'll be made a priority, and Qb runs and screens are best left out of cpu games for sure. Wouldn't make much difference either but maybe just enough to shake things up

This would be the right way to do it, IMO. Offense and defense.

Much like everyone has said. Teams should have some kind of identity. Power house, gun slingers, and so on. All while avoiding the cheese plays.

Im not saying QB cheese all game long, just a team scheme with a "running QB". Maybe a few QBs runs per game and more passes that utilize a scrambling QB. Then some teams could be run heavy or pass heavy, etc...

It would give me a reason to play for a team.

If you have that though, they'd demolish almost any cpu defense... for example if it went off vs free fire in 2wr (as cpu teams do use a lot it's an almost guaranteed TD. And altering the defenses can mean whatever team is given the best game plan will win, whereas it's the random aspect of legend that is nice, without the big game planning required

Build a team using a normal scheme and you'd have a Legend home for your players.
