Forum > Suggestions > Allow rosters to go below 36 players in the Offseason.

You should be able to have below 36 in the offseason and then it fills to 36 with cpu by first day if you don't get it filled.

This way you can make adjustments to your roster without auto cpu players being signed and messing with your cap/contracts for other players and causing issues like I had this offseason starting Soph.

Love this idea...current system can really mess teams up

Or at least an option that allows you to sign over the cap if you designate a player to auto cut when that players signs the contract

I fully agree, but can see some people taking advantage of the system by trying to load up TONS of Superstars and then as you suggested, it auto loads in cpu's by first day and then salary cap say's negative and they still get away with having all those superstars on that team. I still gave your post a +1 though cause they do need to fix the system, it really does screw with teams.

Right now I'm stuck with 2 players on Low Contracts that should have stayed Medium over this problem and there doesn't seem to be a fix.

Yup, I ran into similar problems with mango bay that could have been avoided if this was a thing

And then what happens after the team signs 25 superstars to high salaries before season rollover?

You guys are clever, I figure you could think of a way to prevent that to make the idea work... or you could fix the salary cap for Soph and such seasons so I don't run into roster issues I shouldn't have

That was exactly what I was getting at, my suggestion would be to limit the amount of superstars to the team then. No more than 8-10, whatever sounds better.

It should definitely be a sign and cut option. if you sign player A for 5k you cut player B for 5k all in one transaction... would make life so much easier when trying to fill out team..

I agree with this. No more than 9 S*s allowed on a team.

Players get auto cut (by highest salary) and replaced with cpu players until under cap and roster min is set. Would only take once for an owner to never game that again.
