Last season, my first as owner, it took me far too long to realize that paying players at medium level was beneficial to their chemistry and possible quality of play.
My question is, will paying players the highest amount preform better, even if they've already reached 100 in chemistry at a medium contract?

high contracts give a heart buff (think the mouse over explains it) of something like 25.

how significant is that? no one can say for sure - but you can calculate the skill point value of 25 heart (particularly in later tiers) and it is pretty significant
(also generates chem at 150%)

Awesome. Thank you. I always play this game on my phone and didn't even know the heart increase.
Is there any reason to try and manage cap space? Since there aren't injuries and contracts are year to year.

To clarify my question, why not use every dollar available to ensure the highest ROI from the players?

Right - you want to spend every single dollar of your cap for sure.

How you divide it up between high/medium / superstars / depth is a question for you to figure out (whatever your preference is I mean).

I really never have used low contracts as the penalty is tough.

The high contracts are especially valuable in early tiers, where the 25 boost is a significant edge in terms of percentage of SP spent. I run a Vet taem that doesn't have any S* and the contracts help offset the disadvantage a bit at least
