I have always disliked the fact the final ladder game comes two days after the CGs and after the all-star game. If it came before the first league game I would personally like it a lot better. I am itching for a early tune-up type game but get a damn I still another game to prepare for instead. Thumbs down people chime in so I can be enlightened if I'm overlooking something.

The final ladder game is meant to solidify positions for the following season. Most people who don't like when it takes place are the same ones that use the excuse of it shouldn't be after the championship game. Why exactly is that? You went your whole season building your team for that purpose (of winning a championship), so why should you be rewarded by gaining the extra SP before the game? What sense does that make? You should have confidence enough in your team to not worry about extra SP. The playoffs are the playoffs and the ladder is the ladder; just because you don't like what day it takes place doesn't mean there's a problem with it.

And regarding the All-Star game that's just plain foolishness. Why do you need the extra SP to play in a freaking game that chooses the best players from the whole league SEASON. It's not meant for you to need the SP boost. It's meant for fun.

Overall this whole last ladder game thing has to stop unless someone comes up with an actual, good reason why it cannot be played so late

I don't remember mentioning SPs I don't even see what they have to do with anything. I'm pretty damn burnt out after the playoffs and having an odd game two days later just makes no sense. How does it solidify positions for the following season?

I really like the thinking but maybe there is a different way to go about it. What if we could have the championship games the day after the last ladder? Everybody gets their SPs the morning of or the day before the championship. This would help build anticipation and make it a spectacle, a lot like the NFL Championship...PLUS championship games wouldn't affect the ladder which it currently does.

From the Earlier End of Season SPs thread. This would help with the championship burnout also.

Just have the skill points awarded on off season start day instead. Then you get them when you should and can still move the ladder game to the start of season.

More an issue for losers like me who blow the playoffs having day's and day's of nothing waiting for one meaningless game after already having day's of waiting for the playoffs to complete. This always my least favorite time in this game.

That's where most people go with the whole ladder game thing, my bad. And if your first in the ladder by a little and you lose the last ladder game, do you think you'll still be in the first spot come the beginning of next season?

I thought ladder was reset every year. But I'm far from sure as I don't really to good of track of it. Later in the season is when I start to see what's what lol

Of course, everyone will.

While it makes for an interesting season out of the shoot with not only a league game but a division game to boot, it would be nice to have that ladder game first. While most teams don't change a whole lot from season to season, having a ladder game first would give teams at least one game to scout an opponent from in the new season.
