After a few weeks of nothing from me i have resurfaced.
It is time to look back at the season that has just passed and look at the Ups (Nighthawks) the Downs (Odessa) the Surprises (Tecmo's Late season) and the non surprises (Outlaws & Pike)
Without further ado let the talking begin.
Alpha
At the beginning of the season it looked like it would just be a two Horse race and only the 2nd strongest Division in the league. Man was i wrong. At the end of the day it probably turned into the strongest Division (just) and some major surprises happened.
Phoenix Nighthawks
The Nighthawks began their season with an upset victory over the Kiwis and really just kept going up and up. After finishing the season top of Alpha and with the best record in Great White a good case for them taking it all could have been made. They unfortunately feel to the Kiwis in the first round of playoffs but definitely put people on notice. Team MotoNever underestimate good coaching people
Killer Kiwi's
What can you say about my team...alot but not alot of good stuff. Started slowly, played some good games against good teams, Nearly lost& drew to teams you thought they should beat and scrapped into the Playoffs. Overall a disappointing season for what many people thought were the team to beat. Luckily for the Kiwi's things came together in the Playoffs and the 4th seeded team managed to overcome two close games to win the title. Late bloomers but really should not have been in the situation that they found themselves.Team Moto Never think that S* win games in Rookie
Odessa Roar
Started the season with high expectations, definitely started well and then dropped of the face of the earth. Unfortunately gotta say that Odessa was the disappointment of the season as i had high hopes for them and the rebirth of the Phoenix (see what i did there
) shouldnt have meant such a bad season for them. Not sure if Kada is staying but i hope so and i hope we see much better from Odessa.Team Moto Ran out of steam early.
Minnesota Pike
Expectations where never that high and the Pike didnt disappoint. apart from causing a few close games here and there they have done just about what you think they would.Team MotoHows the view from the top?
Beta
Said at the beginning it was the Rebel's to lose and they didnt. Falcons put up a show and nearly fought for the 4th seed and the Chiefs got better as the season went on. Still 3rd best though in Great White
Winchester Rebels
Damn they put on a show. Apart from losing there playoff game. An early season loss to the Falcons, a loss to the resurgent Bills and a draw with the Kiwis these guys have been feasting and beasting their way through Rookie. Deservedly stand at the #1 spot on Rookie Ladder and will be a force to reckon with for seasons to come. Their only regret will be the loss in the 1st round of the playoffs and not taking a title home to go with the dominant season.Team Moto Feasting and Beasting all the way to the top
Central Falcons
So so close to getting into the playoffs. Another team like the Nighthawks that show that good coaching can overcome a lack of players in Rookie. My hat goes of to Cowboy and his crew on doing so well. Just imagine if they had a real dots with S*....scary.Team Moto What do you mean we need S* to win, we fine?
Erie Chiefs
A team with a good amount of S* that had promise but started slow. Credit to Vinman. He has had a late season resurgence but the damage was done early and they just couldnt get over it. Now that they have a grip of things maybe they will be a threat? I hope so as a challenge is always good. Chiefs making a strong case dont sleep on them guys.Team MotoNext year guys, Next year.
Animal Kingdom
Had the coaches but not the players. They either won, caused a scare or got blown out of the water. Not much more can be said really they coulda done so well with the staff but decided to not compete.Team MotoDude Where's my car?
Gamma
I predicted this would be the strongest division and produce some Dark Horses. They started slow...all of them but man late season you didnt want to face of against any of them. Real close call but just lose out on top division due to Hookers losing finals.
Atlantic City Hookers
Well Damn. They started strong. Lost to the Kiwis and seem to lose their way for a bit and then came back with a vengeance. They beat the #1 team in rookie in the Playoffs of all places and nearly won the SHIP to. The Hookers are strong and hopefully they stay around as things can only get more scary from here on out.Team MotoNever underestimate a Hooker, She will kick your ass.
Tecmo Super Bills
One of my Dark Horses and damn did they prove me right. These guys started slow but in my opinion there has been no other team as good as Tecmo have been in the latter part of the Season. They just missed out on a playoff berth and to be honest they could have easily won it. Tecmo are just going to get better and better so fear them people. I am telling you now shit aint gonna be pretty.Team MotoIf only the season went on for longer
4th & 20
Another Dark Horse for me. Again though they started slowly and although they havent quite hit the heights of Tecmo they are still trying to figure themselves out. This could be scary as and if they do they could be another huge threat to deal with. At the moment its a wait and see affair and for the rest of us i guess we are hoping that they dont figure it out for our sake.Team MotoJust you wait. Once i figure this shit out you guys are gone.
Las Vegas Outlaws
Owner was pissy when i said they were not gonna do much. They then go on to prove me right. Not much more needs to be said.Team MotoWe are gonna win, really.
and that brings a conclusion to this exciting season. Hopefully i see you guys next season as youll hang around and if not it was good fun. Congratz to everyone and to the Nighthawks, Kiwis, Rebels and Hookers for making the playoffs. Im expecting a fight next season though so plan people plan.
