Depends on the position.

That's a good question, in part because I don't have any LB's with high enough skills yet to really tell you conclusively. Due to how the roles work for the LB's I want Blitz Awareness to be on, the cap happens to be lower than the d-lineman. On the DL I like around 70-75. On LB's I'm hoping 50-55 works decently, since that's all I'm budgeting for them.

Good. In my new team, I am going to be blitzing from all over the place....like 5 LBs, including Vader and my S* SS will all blitz at some point. I'm going to run blitz the opponent into oblivion. I'm sick of waiting in zone only to be blocked or on my fast guys, Closing Speed fires, and they run right into the blockers.

They will all end with between 60 and 70 blitz awareness.

If I recall corndog said at one point in seasons past: If you're going to run zone defense - your only hope is to blitz. Zone isn't meant to sit back or you'll just get picked apart -- zone is meant to provide coverage for only a few seconds until the blitz get there

(I'm paraphrasing).

So - congrats! You are starting to figure things out that have been public knowledge for 2 years or so.

I'm not doing this against passing teams. This is to stop the run.

My next question was going to be what type of LB. Sounds like you are asking about run support LBs and you are going to run blitz. I would say 60-70 is a good target for that type of player. You might even want a bit higher, but that should do. Wouldn't want to dip below 50 on an LB like that. You don't want them running by the HB with the ball towards the QB.

Thought this was an interesting quote from Corndog too.

I agree with this, Zone Blitz.... And your guys should be hitters IMO and forcing lots of KL and hopefully fumbles.
