How about being able to trying out to owning a team where the computer lends ownership of team to a player so they can find out the ins and outs of owning a team before they go out a buy a team to own and have to learn by trial and error to what works and what doesn't work.

I suggested something similar to this once, where they should allow players to coach a computer owned team. To be honest, this game really shines in the coaching strategy roles. Its the real meat of the sim.

I thought that's what a OC/DC was for

Yes- get some kind of a job on an existing team and learn that.

otherwise - step up and spend the 500 flex --- INCREDIBLY cheap. Own/run a team just about the cost of a player!

GM actually. GM can do everything an Owner can do.

Sign players.
Build Depth Charts.
O and D Playbooks and Tactics
Schedule Scrims

It's the free way to run a team. Or learn under an active Owner.

You can also take credit for shit as a GM, which is pretty sweet.
