Yeah I was hoping weather would be like this when they set it up.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum/thread/5256233

Teams could choose a location region, so there'd be one warm dry region, like an arizona region where it doesn't rain much and doesn't get cold much but is VERY hot, and then like a florida region where it's hot but it also rains a LOT. And then like a greenbay region where it's colder, and there's the possibility for a LOT of snow in the late season. Then a New England type area where it's not so warm, but it's very windy and there's a possibility for some snow, but less snow. And then like a Seattle Region where it's Mild all year round, but just constantly rainy. And then like a Minnesota region where it gets VERY cold late season, but isn't as likely to snow as the green bay region. And maybe like a base region that isn't terribly affected either way, like a St. Louis, or Kansas City team, maybe Tennesseeish.

The regions wouldn't have to have real names, they could have made up names, just with different climates. Could be fun.

I mean GLB could make whatever regions they want, and just have the regions react to the calendar weather just with modifiers based on the season, and there could be a tab for weather reports, and you could open it and see how each region's weather is for the next few days.

This would be so cool, and to avoid exploitment, the region would define the weather of the game only in 50% of the games, the other half could be random.

You could build a team around its location.

I am not sure how anything would be exploiting with home field advantage. Let's say I pick a region like the northern midwest where it gets cold and windy for the last third of the season and you pick the southeast where it is hot and humid. If I am building my team to give me a boost at home, it should be at a disadvantage if I ignore the games against you in your region. The good teams would still be forced to build for away games. If it was set up right, the region you choose would have the exact same advantages and disadvantages as any other region. You could build your team to be a good home team, but if you don't secure home field for the playoffs, the advantage would be for naught.

It would be an interesting dynamic. It would also be interesting if a team could chose to be a dome team, as well. You could build to the strength of your location but would suffer if you ignore road games.

I think it would be cool if the field you picked helped too. Like pick turf would aid speed and grass would hurt speed.

Well, if the weather is not 100% cold/hot/etc (region choice) all time its ok. What i want is just to somehow avoid a possible explotation, or even "meta region" (lol), the 50% purpose was to limit the region impact, but at the same time allow to be used anytime during the season, while having the random dynamic. The seasons idea is cool too, but it would restrict the region choice effects on a specific period of time, which is realisticly, but in my opinion worse for the game.

I like the current system tbqh. And there are tons of other things I would like to see added into the game before an extension on weather, which literally just got added.

It looks nice tbqh. And it would be hard to see tiny white snow flakes on a white background like that.

Maybe Heavy Snow will have that effect though?

I agree that it looks nice. Was weird not seeing the numbers on the field, though.

Honestly even light flurries would be noticeable coming down the screen...I like the field look covered like that tho...was just hoping for some sign of snow falling...after all that's what the forecast called for...freakin' unpredictable weather done did it again...must of snowed before gametime
