It would be hard for the defense to prepare for that. In games like Madden you can see that the formation is flipped before the ball is snapped. In this game their is no way to account for it.

I don't mean like an audible. They already have some plays like this (strong I pitch strong, weak I pitch weak). I guess I'm saying why have it for some and not all? Maybe they doo
think it would be too powerful, idk

then on the very next play same defense you would think seeing that same formation the defense would play smarter but nope.

These really aren't even close to the same play. E8 should have blown up the counter and got burned by the pitch. E8 is a zone play that is why they back peddle towards their zones rather than crash in at the HB.

Yes I understand zone and zone play. Thing is I had a 8 man box (both plays) I had my tactics for stopping the run almost or at least that was my plan. For a lack of better explaining I put the percentages to entirely stop either outside or inside runs totally ignoring pass. Yet they still ran over my team. Had they blew me up totally passing it would be more comforting but I got blown out running and I was all in to stop the run.

IMO yes its almost the same play the 1st one the counter and the second the pitch out were going up against a 8 man box and a free top corner who is out in space but has no wide receiver to cover. I had my tactics totally ignoring passing for the game yet they ran rough shod over me regardless.

IMO the corner back seeing the 1st play was a run and the second play that beat me also a run, a sensible corner not having a player to worry about covering should have played better. What I would have liked would be just smarter game play in that I had my defense in the right positions to make plays as I was virtually ignoring the 3 wide receivers on the bottom covering them with just the bottom corner and a safety.

IMO the corner should have put himself in position to stop the running back as well as the free safety should have not been fooled into needlessly blitzing and someone like the FS should have instead covered the pitch out. Again my tactics I used were entirely set to stop the run.

IMO if a free player IE CB has no one to cover and there isn't a threat of a pass, then said player should react and play better not just go to a designated spot.

I've seen it far too often even on blitz man plays where defenders seem to really just go to a designated spot than say the QB or person with the football.

Again not to beat a dead horse but IMO it seems simply knowing the poor faults in the system has many teams simply running the same 4-8 plays over and over and over again.

Then on the defensive side you have teams that seem to just be able to get by simply running 3-6 defense plays with it mostly being just one defensive play for most of the game with only the other plays coming into play on special situations.

Dude...how hard is it to understand. You ran engage 8 against an outside run. That will get destroyed. The play before, engage 8 stopped the run up the middle...which it should. You can't expect an inside run defense to stop or contain an outside run.

No the play before stopped not a run up the middle but a counter. A counter that would have ran to the outside the same outside. And yes I've seen where middle overload manages to stop outside runs and I've seen where it does jack shit against runs straight up the middle.

Any how I had a free corner to the side where the play ran. A decent corner which I have should have stopped any outside pitches. No way should a 8 man front get suckered and destroyed except in GLB2.

Regardless it seems no matter what play I would have put in they still would have ran us over.

If a play is going to the outside how is eight in the box going to help? E8 sucks against inside runs as well, or at least it used to. No one uses it much anymore because it is a pretty bad play. It is obviously decent against counters depending on the team and it is a sack machine defense against CPUs. I'm not sure why you would think an inside run defense should work against outside runs anyways.

I'd be happy with the Contain Logic being fixed.
