Would a pass only team work? I know run only teams can have success... I would like to build a Pass only team.. Scat Back (Even build a FB that can catch) I would think since you only need to have the O-Line with PB skills they could become efficient. But I hate to waste a season and not have success (some could argue that already LMAO) but would/could it work? Have you seen it work? I have seen teams pass a ton, not sure if they were 99.9% Thanks..

There have been a fair few all pass teams. Blood, Sweat and Beers were for a good while.

Fury was built as a pass only team but has shifted to a pass heavy team since there are times that running the ball just makes sense. Scat FB is a waste, though. There simply aren't enough good routes to make effective use of them.

Thanks.. I haven't tried the scat back, so thanks for that.. I have a pickup HB built for speed that even though I haven't put anything towards his catching abilities still can catch decent.. although some drops occur.

Plenty of teams have existed that were all pass. They have moved away from that as the meta has shifted though.

Once Air Raid had success there were a few pass only teams, once the Diversity bonus was implemented pure teams were no longer the meta and the balanced offence was born.

Definitely not something I would consider doing the way things are set up atm

HBs can generally catch over 50% of passes without investing heavily in catching skills...and that was before the screen buff. That said, routes for HBs and FBs generally aren't very good so both need to have good carry skills to make the most of each reception. I can definitely see the value of a S* Scat HB but its not a position I'd want to try to build my offense around.

Been a fair amount of pure passing teams in the past. The problem with pure passing now is that KLs, PDs and just general incomplete passes can hurt. To keep morale high you need to be able to continuously move the sticks for 1st downs. Passing can do this but when things go south the game can swing on you u in a hurry. It used to be easier to keep the chains moving for the duration of the game than it is these days. Having a rushing element allows for more reliable 1st downs whether it is short situations or the ridiculously powerful outside rushing currently.
