At the time of that, either right at 50 or just under. If it's under it would still be high 40's. Keep in mind that's a S* WR he's up against.

Having said that, there are some CB spots where you don't even need that much coverage tech. You can "hide" some of these low cover tech guys well against certain teams.

Route Elusive on that WR is in the teens, route tech is above 50 though.

Route Tech essentially is a substitute/enhancement for Quickness, and probably Footwork as well that only helps when running routes. If I'm right, a receiver with really high Route Tech could go with very low Quickness and Footwork and run routes about as well. However, he wouldn't have as many physical tools to adjust to an off-target pass or get YAC. A high Quickness/solid Footwork receiver wouldn't need much, if any; but of course it's cheaper than those.

That's my theory; I definitely could be wrong.

Now imagine that instead of substituting Quickness for Route Tech or vice versa, you went with your enhancement idea and blew up both. What would you get?

Belgarion

So I for one don't think you're wrong.

This was my S* built around head fake and RE. Before a respec at the beginning of his last 2 Seasons he had 80 quickness and 95 RE with 80 sprinting.

I don't think anyone should invest in RE unless they take it to 80 due to the high awareness that most every CB has. Either leave it untouched, or pump it as high as it can go. I'm sure you're going to do that, but thats just my opinion for the benefit of others reading.

It definitely can be done, and can be done effectively, so when we say RE is mostly a waste of an investment, we aren't saying not to do it, just not to do it half-assed like some in this thread have suggested. I would like to believe my WR would have paced Belgarion for yardage and receptions and TD's if he'd been on a real team for his early career, but I know thats a bit of a lofty comparison for me to make as Belgarion's best Vet season put up 1,800 more yards than Juice's best Vet season, and by Vet Juice was on a solid 100% passing team.

But by just looking at the numbers, Belgarion beat Juice in most areas at the Vet level and one of the big differences between the two was that Belgarion had no RE. So take from that what you will about the efficacy of RE on receivers.

He also had almost double the targets. I think route elusive wrs need the right team to shine. They work insanely well with a qb with high power.
