So I made my first HB, and the dude is a 2nd year player with Max Carry Grip before a booster at 85....3 games into the season I've tallied 5 Fumbles! 5! is there a point for carrying grip?

Since your build is closed, we can't see the rest of his stats.

I'm guessing your conditioning and toughness are fairly low.

If your conditioning and/or toughness is too low, you'll drop energy really quick... and when you try to run with low energy it doesn't matter what your grip is, you will fumble.

I'm willing to bet if you up his Conditioning and Toughness, you'd be fine.

That is more than enough at sophomore.

Fumbles happen with a power back. They give the defense way more chances to cause them than an elusive.

But yes, there is a point to carrying grip. It would be a lot worse without it. Powerbacks with 100 carry grip are still going to fumble though.

There are also SA's you can use to help with this. Brace for Impact and Mr. Reliable are two of them.

very true... with both of those at gold and around 50 grip will rarely fumble.

I may be mistaken, but the low Chemistry is going to contribute to it as well. On a regular team with max chem and you should see a decrease in fumbles as well. Being on a CPU team with 34 chem (at time of post) is going to make you play at a reduced rate till that increases.
