Yes definitely be sure to reduce attributes to below 5 for additional points.
Strength to 1 is a must.
You really need 55 minimum conditioning on a CB with end build, so if you go Egotist you need to put enough points in Stamina to at least be 40 conditioning, and from there you'll have to use all 3 cap boosters on conditioning. I typically avoid egotist and choose workhorse instead, then you can take stamina down to 2 and still have 50+ initial conditioning, then just use the points on agility, or awareness as they affect coverage skills the most.
Contrary to popular belief you don't need much speed on a CB.
7 speed and quick feet trait (-to speed) still got me to 70 on this CB.
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/139776Also this CB isn't really the best example of a coverage CB, but is a good idea of where to start. To be really elite in coverage 90+ man aware, coverage tech, and deflection are needed. This CB was just designed to be able to play the pass well enough at CB1 or CB2 and have enough brb and tackling to be able to chip in against the run on balanced teams. He'd still get blown up against run only teams.
All of my builds are open, feel free to look around and get an idea of what your caps will look like with certain starting attributes and traits. I'm not the best builder by far, but at the very least my dots are serviceable enough and are a good starting point for someone learning the game.
Also no its not like GLB1, there are no ALG's, so no reason to max out attributes 1 at a time. You can level in a balanced approach to maintain competitiveness at all levels if you prefer, or you can max out a few skills at early levels to be really dominant in one facet, but weak in others. Both methods have their pros and cons and are both valid building methods and neither one will ultimately hurt your end build player.
