Getting some discussion started early, one of the better weeks for matchups to this point, including a (to date) game of the year candidate.
The Marshawn Lynch group: I'm only mentioning them so I don't get fined
Blue Mountain State vs. Bye week - No words, only lots of points from BMS.
Week 5 Bears vs Chiefs: Both playing really bad, but on the same level of bad, so it's kinda good
New York Avengers vs. Western Branch Ruins - WBB has 3 points in as many games. New York pulls it's third win, thus pissing off everyone in beta division.
Baby Banger vs. LUElink LUEshis - Before drake asks why I put him in this category, it's simply due to chemistry. I have to say I'm impressed with what he's done, pulling 4 straight Ws (a decent one against the Mutants) since taking over. It hurts to see that low chem, and will catch up to them during some inter-division matches, but not this week, as LUElinks has packed it up until next year.
The sneaky-good game under the radar
Chernobyl Mutants vs. Cha Cha - Two 4-3 teams that have been doing a nice job competing this year. Chernobyl knocked of BMS in league play, Cha Cha with a good ladder win vs. New Jersey. Against logic of partial team vs. full team, I'm going to go out on a limb and pick Sithlord's boys on this one, as I feel I know what to expect from them by now, and I don't feel that way with Chernobyl yet.
Normal game of the week material
Deez Nuts vs. Boise St. Stallions - Boise has had a rougher run, with it's three losses coming against quality opponents (five or more wins). I know from our past game's matchup that they'll play close, and they've got a great defense to back it up. Deez Nuts pull no punches, and my preseason favorite to win it all continues to do so.
Game of the week
LLUA vs. Couch Bums - Game of the season (to date) potential: the two last undefeated teams, the number one league offense vs. the number one league defense. Both coming off of impressive wins in different ways. Which way will it go? I'm expecting Couch Bums to win this one, as LLUA has had some offensive struggles to date, and the Bums throughout seven games have had a slightly better defense. Bums win and start to separate themselves further as the premier team in Dachshund.
Also that was my first time spelling dachshund correctly.
