Can anyone weigh in on their experience here? As I understand it, the growing consensus with HBs is that Footwork is more important than originally thought and Quickness less important. I can't imagine the same going for WRs, but I must admit that I'm not really sure.

If I was aiming for a 90-93 sprinting WR with 70-75 quickness, how much should I take footwork?

Nobody has a definite answer to this question, you will have to figure out yourself.

I ususally bring footwork 40-50 with quickness 60-80 range.

I usually see footwork in the 30-50 range for WR's. There's only so much SP to spread about between receiving skills and physicals.

Trying taking a single player to vet before trying to tell people how to build. 85 quickness is a luxury and not a necessity.

I believe footwork is helpful getting turned around after catching screen passes to begin running up field faster. I also think that footwork is helpful getting turned around after your receiver comes back to the QB on a hook or something and sometimes a receiver will even catch and backpedal for additional yardage. How often these things occur will depend on your playbook and thus how high you take footwork should probably depend on how often these situations are occurring within your offense. That is if you believe that footwork does the same thing as I do anyway.
