In addition to pursuit, pure run stopper LB must have toughness due to the phyiscality of the punishing hits they take and deliver... If they are winded they will not hold on to tackles, get pancaked a lot, and not break blocks as well... They also need consistency.

For a blitzing LB snap reaction is needed, but not sure if and how much is needed for run stopper and coverage.

And alot of these guys really kill me when they undervalue snap reaction. I've been experimenting and it really does work out, especially with CBs. Mo picks mo offense.

And I've used snap reaction mainly for my OLBs. Kills QB Rollout, kills outside plays, kills the QB. The old team I used to have before I went inact for a bit averaged about 15 tfls per game (counting up the league and ladder, needed the data for something back then, still have a whole bunch of data typed) and about 12 of those came from our LBs (5 right and 7 left, the rest were the safeties, 1 FS and 2 SS) and all you needed to work on was quickness and footwork and balance and high af pursuit and snap reaction and tackling tech and BRB of course. If you want them to stop the run early, sprinting wasn't as important as the rest of those skills.
