So for those of you that are for S* DT, HOW much is it worth it? Are you willing to run with only two DTs on the roster (provided sufficient depth in the run game behind the other positions) or is it more of a luxury?

A S* DT would be one of the first S*s I would want on a defense.
And I currently run 2 DT and 4 DE on Whoville, vs 3/3.

nope allway at least three of each
but i love S* dts. mine just had 6 tackles in 1 game i have never seen a dt with that many tackles in this game

you obviously want that or better from a DT, that's not the issue
the issue is, you can get that from a regular DT and don't need use your only T1 s* slot to do it
statistically speaking, check out the HoF
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/hof?season=13&type=def_data&position=DT&league_id=0&tier=All
only 2 of the top 10 DTs are s*
the argument for s* DTs is that if the player doesn't mind all of the personal sacrifice (in terms of interest level and s* slot) a few coordinators can make great use of s* DTs
the catch of course being you have to find those few teams out there that can do it
what I'm trying to do is show that s* DTs can be interesting dots, and also be beneficial to a large number of teams even without top tier coordinators
I haven't quite convinced myself yet, but at least it looks like I'm on the right path this time
when you throw stats around make sure they are correct. probably an old post
4 of the top dt this year not 2 or maybe its changed. it always does. really you can get it with depth or S*s i still think with out S*s you probably want to run 7 d-line at least 4 de and 3 dts.
last season 7 of the top 10 dt where S*s
