Ever again. It's fruitless, and I think it's not a good use of my time anymore. Does anyone else feel this way about giving build advice or just discussing builds in this game? If they aren't your dot, or on your team, why say anything at all? Can anyone give me a reason for participating in the endless debate with no clear answers?

Tired of explaining training points and soft caps? How to use bonus tokens, shopping for equipment and how/when to boost?

To help foster discussion, help new players understand what works without having to learn by losing, getting frustrated, and possibly quitting. By helping the new guys we create more good teams which makes the game more fun. Maybe you say something that gives them an idea for a team concept to build around that hasnt been tried yet. Honestly any discussion in these forums these days is welcome

I mean it doesn't hurt. If somebody learns one thing that's better than nothing.
However somebody gave me build advice for a player and that player is garbage and I won't say who or what but they ruined him.

You should probably only trust guys that produce results. I had our new QB respec this offseason, and this is the result:
1st 2 Vet seasons: QBRtg 81.7/80.7, Comp% 56.1%/54.8%, YpA 6.0/5.8, YpG 364/379, TDpG 2.2/2.4, IntpG 0.63/0.57, HrypG 8.2/11.8, SacpG 2.4/3.4
This season: QBRtg 93.4, Comp% 59.3%, YpA 7.0, YpG 325, TDpG 2.0, IntpG 0.21, HrypG 4.0, SacpG 1.2
That is significantly better across the board imo. The only thing that agent might not be happy about is a little less volume in terms of yards and TDs, but he is playing much better and much more efficiently in exchange for that (and he just had a better day than Belgarath, a S* when our QB is not, in our game against LZ y'day). Also keep in mind he has played most of this season on low chem, with a low chem OL and low chem WRs bar one.
Some of it is system and supporting cast, but some of it is respec. Additionally, you can only do so much with a respec vs build advice from the outset. With a respec, there are going to be certain things that you can't change because they were invested in early in the build, or are dictated by initial build.

I appreciated the advice, it obviously worked wonders.

Oh God, GLB1 was so much worse to even try to give build advice in if the other person didn't already have the base knowledge.
To the rest of you, I just had a moment where it kind of snapped, like I was discussing the same exact thing over and over in an argument with the same exact people about players that neither of us were ever going to see on our teams or anything, so it was just kind of like... why? You can make anything you want on GLB2 without much planning or thinking outside of setting your initial caps. So why does it matter what I say in an open forum? Sure, talk builds with your DC, or players on your teams... but outside of that, why bother? Everything has already been said.
