I mean, I know I cannot end up in the top 5 and if we all start next season at 1, why do I care about the rest of the ladder games this season? I guess I care about my overall career record.

You weren't gonna be top 5 anyways. So probably shouldn't have cared all season if that is the case.

i don't think they'll reset ladder every season? so it will help you get higher on the ladder for next season

This is the most I'm going to take my ball and go home statement I've ever seen.

Loved watching the highest tier I'm in fight from 30-something ladder rank and now represent a better top 5 position. But I guess if we're going "only first place is fun" then we need to break out a video from 2nd grade telling you to just do your best.

My point is that before when ladder wasn't reset every season, there was more incentive to win all your games even if you were out of the running for a lolTrophy. Hopefully Merik is correct and the ladder doesn't reset each season.

You should hope he is incorrect, so you actually have a shot at cracking top 5. The way your team is headed will make it near impossible for you to climb up there even with a perfect season (and we all know that isn't happening).

They should reset every season. Otherwise it is just going to be less and less interesting every season for 95% of the teams.

Yes, it is not clear whether the ladder reset this season was a one-time thing or something to expect at the start of each future season.

You're 7 losses and 1 tie back from the current 5th place team. The only way you're going to make top 5 at this point or more than likely any point from now until vet is a majority of the teams folding ahead of you. You're not going to make up those 7.5 games in a few seasons, not when top 5 teams are probably going to lose 5 games a season on average.

Not to mention by the end of the season you're going to be even further back in the ladder than you are now because you missed the playoffs again in Napoleon. A few teams ahead of you will have a chance to jump you in playoff games.

It was more of a general question to the users, not specific to my team.
