Just to expand on player cost:

With career boosts:
50 Flex Tier: 2300
100 Flex Tier: 2650
150 Flex Tier: 3000

Without career boosts:
50 Flex Tier: 1700
100 Flex Tier: 2050
150 Flex Tier: 2400

And without career boosts/SP boosts/AP boosts:
50 Flex Tier: 50
100 Flex Tier: 100
150 Flex Tier: 150

(Pretty good value, imo)

I seem to remember it going into 55-60+ days in classic...

Those 1-2 week offseasons were fantastic!

The Season in GLB1 is 40 days, the off-season is 8 days, the pre-season (which no one bothers with too seriously, I certainly don't want to play my hand early) is 8 days = 56 days. (Your dots are only only gaining XP in the 40 days of the actual season).

Our season in GLB 2 is 51 days (including 3 pre-season days)

GLB 2 cycles faster. If both games started a season on the same day, GLB 2 would be into it's next season before GLB 1.

After roughly 10 seasons, GLB2 would be cycling at a whole extra season of playing time.

So that's roughly every 14 months.

In that time, the GLB 2 Pre-season time, when your team isn't playing amounts to 42 days

In GLB 1 it's 160 days. That's 5 months out of 14 when your team doesn't actually play and you can't really do much to manage your dot (though you do have to manage their training regimes closely at all times).

This is exactly what I was going to say. The actual season in GLB2 is longer, but the time from the start of one season to the start of the next season is shorter.
