CPU players are not powerful enough to even make a difference. You can't select what you want from CPU players. I wish they were more powerful. I wish you could win it all if you only had CPU players. Haha but not with this game.

I can do all the game planning I want with CPU players and some shit players but there is only so much you can do.

Did you even make a post in the teams looking for players forum?

Of course CPU players can't win...if they could - everyone would take the 500 flex season and play the game that way - and the game would make no money and fold.

Think my current team has 13 or 14 agents.

There are definitely advantages to being a mostly single agent team -- and advantages to having multiple agents.

This game is interesting in the sense that yes - players generally are more interested in playing for winning teams. Remember - they are paying money too and it isn't fun to sit on a junk team for a season. I know because I've done it and wondered 'why the heck am I paying flex for this??'

I remember playing Corning before - looks like you've been around since season 1 - but I would guess you haven't networked too much. Not sure I've seen you post before this thread. But the idea that there should be players for every team is kind of a flawed one. As the owner/coach - it is your job to create the demand for spots on your team by winning -- by effort - by networking - by learning - etc. I'm guessing you haven't really done that.

There are plenty of top teams filled with multiple agents. That doesn't happen overnight though - it happens because you're doing a decent job with whatever you've got I think

However, the fact that you are on here talking about it gets you known straight away. I've seen Chris 51 poking around in the forums too. He becomes a familiar face and someone asking questions. I think we're hungry for new users to stick around. For those of us who are and can afford to pay to play, I want to sign my drones with a team I know are going to stick around.

I have been asking questions here and there within the forums when I do have questions but I don't that often. I seem to be able to search the forum and finding the answer before posting a new question.

I am not new. I have been around since season 1 of GLB and season 1 of GLB2. Owned a team for many seasons in GLB1 and all of GLB2. I guess I just don't make myself known to the point some others do. I'd rather lay low anyways. I am that type of person.

Treat this as a learning season. You clearly want to get into the game but are frustrated by it's massive shortcomings in your situation. It is possible for you to spend a little and own a team. If you are respected as a good owner, people will fill your team with drones for you. People will come and help you out if you let it be known you're serious about being an owner. See if you can find some Vets to help out with co-ordinating, but not to do it. Get a couple of other newbies, including yourself to learn how to do it, "Give a man a fish..", etc.

For now, just recruit a mish-mash of drones and then be pro-active about telling them what to do. And it's never too late to create an experienced Rookie dot.

You have to be personal, and PM people and communicate and go in the live game chat room (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum/thread/5233938 - That's the old one, but keep an eye out for the next one.) and ask questions. And trawl the forums, there are some gems out there amongst the swill, and you'll get a sense of which users in the community are open and willing to help. We're lucky to have TXSteve in this league, for example. IMO, there are few in the community who work as hard to keep the community active. Use this forum. Keep it alive and ask questions. There are some fine agents associated with the few teams in this league that are active.

It's a lot of work and there's a lot to get your head round. But don't think of the season as a waste so early. I picked up my team in the middle of S2. There were a handful of agents bumming around who had auto-signed, so I talked to them and very quickly networked my way into a supportive group which meant I could reset in S3 with an (almost) full roster.

The rest as they say is...mediocrity

Get a team of people around you with a plan and a sense of direction. If people know you'll put the work in, they'll do a lot of it for you.

I have had my learning seasons. I know the game pretty well. Take last two season for example I was in Velociraptor league [http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/league/97] with some good owners and was able to hold my own.

I went into this season resetting the team and not planning on doing much anyways. As it is summer time and it is busy around here.

Mainly wanted to get some talk going about this and how this season has been the worst out of all the rest.
I just wanted to get my roster full of human players but noticed the lack of human players are down more than any other season.

Yes I have in the past but this season knowing I was resetting and note doing much.

CPU players can't win- yes but they should make them more competitive so there is a chance of them winning. Right now it is pretty much a 0%. They should make it more they 75% chance.

13-14 agents - Yeah your team is a rare exception. But majority of teams are not like yours. mainly saying that the chance of winning is much higher with teams that only have a few agents.

It's a shame you're not going to be more active over the Summer, this League needs some more competition

Making CPU teams dangerous? Nah - disagree. We can't have CPU teams winning. It makes a mockery of paying for the game. What we need is tournaments! That way, CPU team owners can get together and pit their CPU teams against one another. It's still a bit, "We gets the fruit, you gets the pips and peel", but we are paying for it. The basic, free version of the game is soul-crushingly dull.

It's so dull I don't want to talk about it.

Good to get to know you a bit mate, and thanks for coming in and getting the forum talking.

For my part I joined GLB2 mid season 2 and started playing GLB Classic in 2012, just as it came out of Beta - I joined in the last season of Beta in fact - and got a little .gif. Just as they got it sorted out and working, ready to be modded and kept amazing season by season with things like new plays (or whatever), they started on 2 and now they've sort of ditched 1. At least we're getting a new league structure to stir things up a bit and allow them to fit the game around the userbase.
