Week 1 Recap:
D-Town 26 Bullet Club 10
The battle for supremacy in the Alpha division ended with D-Town coming out ahead. We know that Legacy will end up in the basement, but we don't know which of the other three teams will come out ahead. Good start to the season for D-town. Both teams put up good offense for early rookie. 4 out of 5 FG's from a rookie kicker is quite impressive. Bullet Club faces Empire next and really needs avoid going 0-2.
Empire 21 Legacy 0
Empire's amazing zone gets its first shutout of the season. They faced a pure CPU team, so we won't know how good the D is until they face a better team. Only scoring 21 on a CPU might be cause for alarm though. No matter how good that defense is, you can't win if you don't score points against good teams. They might be the favorite to win their division, but they need to prove it in the next two games.
Atlanta Falcons 7 Portland Ronin 3
Atlants pulls off the upset and wins a defensive slugfest. Ronin has had success at the top levels of this games, so they were given the benefit of the doubt, but there is no way to know what this new team will do. Both teams will be interesting to watch for the rest of the season. Atlanta faces a huge game against Porn in the next league game. We will call that a measuring stick game. Ronin should pick up an easy win against a CPU team. Will the wild card come from this division?
PORN 41 Vols 0
Double Penetration, finger banging and superb defense.
EEA 2.0 21 Colorado 3
EEA has been around the block and back. They were the better team and they won. This is a team with a wide range of possible outcomes. This is the beauty of early rookie. The truth will eventually show.
Las Vegas 17 Legacy 3
Another sloppy game. Las Vegas has been around for a while too. We'll see if this new version can get over the hump. This was a game against a CPU team though, so we'll wait to gain a full assessment.
