And both teams will be punished. Dookie has struggled all season having those CPU players on the roster and Legacy will watch chemistry drop on players who turned Legend after game 15.

Based on 4+ pages of comments in the other thread, the general consensus is that it's taking them too long to fall creating lots of bad games for them and the opponents they play.

Rob is bitching about having to play "bad" opponents like Legacy and New York yet both teams played AA close. Why haven't Legacy, New York, or Dookie Island fallen? Because they're in a league that is stacked based on ranking. Why hasn't a team like AA risen? Because they're in a league that absolutely sucks based on ranking. It also doesn't hurt that Legacy, New York, and Dookie Island are season 1 teams with more games under their belt.

The easiest way to "fix" the ladder would be to either re-balance leagues each season (losing rivalries) or adjust the ELO system to make more recent games "worth" more. I'm not an ELO expert so I won't try to get specific but I understand there's a way to make that happen.

Somehow combining ladder and chemistry just makes no sense.

Chemistry is good the way it is -- but I would consider:
- offseason gives +50 chemistry to all players (as opposed to signing at 50)
- first week of season should be +8-10 chem per game

You can't just get rid of chem -- because then you'd have cases where right now (16 games in) - Air Raid's offense and Salty's defense join up (yes there would have to be some tweaks) and it doesn't cost anything...

As others have said - claiming that chemistry and ladder are tied together is beyond a reach...just stop.

Ladder needs to penalize/reward blow out wins --- and ladder needs to penalize/reward winning streaks and losing streaks.

Personally - I'd be all for restructuring leagues every off season - playing new teams is fun -- playing the same teams over and over isn't (to me). But I understand others who like the league rivalry

I'm not a huge fan of restructure, the Rivalry between AA & DD2 has been the best I've had in GLB1 or GLB2. I think the ladder can be fixed without touching the leagues.
