I guess before I make a Superstar QB with the idea of breaking sacks, I want to be sure of what SA's work while in the pocket and have a better idea of how to make that happen. Unfortunately not a lot of people take those sort of gambles with their QB's and not many people want to see project QB's on their teams either.

So this type of QB would be on a balanced team with a very heavy run focused o-line right? I mean, what else would be the best fit for a build so heavy into drop back power?

No I would build him on an all pass team for sure. If he can chuck a blitzer you can roll out with him and give a DC real headaches between not being able to rely on coverage or blitzing just a solo blitzer from one side or another. A run team sucks because hes never gonna be able to take all that punishment throughout the game. But if he is barely hit it will lead to extra easy yards.

To what Rob said, unless the owner wants to build a team around discount OL players, the QB would have much more value at being able to throw the ball. I mean, as a DC ive been more frustrated at pocket passers undaunted by hurries rather than an elusive scrambler. Just set the DEs to outside movement and 9 out of 10 times the QB path would move through them to evade a blitz and bam. Drive over. (This is of course for passing plays and not called running plays)

I wasted a ton of SP on silly things and I wasn't a superstar. How much more frustrated would you be by Air Raid or Alaska Assassins if you weren't able to man base them?

Interesting idea to make a Jared Lorenzen type QB.
