I have a sophomore LB with a contract ending, is there any way to get offers besides the Marketplace Ad and forums? Also how do I offically part with that team?

Post in Players Looking for Teams or put up a marketplace ad. You part with that team when you either sign with another team, the owner cuts you, or we reach the end of the offseason (Jan 30).

Yeah I wish they would fix this, would make life easier on agent that owns player, team owner and perspective teams

This is done by design. I protects against owners who "forget" to re-sign their roster having to remember who all to attempt to re-sign.
From my experience today it both helped and hurt my restructuring of Legacy and Dynasty. It was nice to not need links to all the players who were swapping teams but made it hard to send out some of the offers due to roster limits.

Aside from the idiotic restrictions on post championship teams which are locked out of signing players until off season (we should get the last 2 days available to sign new agents - its an off day and ladder not league) I don't see a reason for this to extend into the off season. You have from the time playoffs start until end of season to resign your players. An owner who can't send out contracts over a 10 day span before end of season because "they forgot" despite their own players being flagged is sad.
Release on first day of off season. It just makes sense because you have time to sign your players back, and its a lot of time already.
