Yeah DC started with a zone defense from season 3 rookie all the way to Vet this year. Zone is not worth it until it's fixed

Next season should be alot of fun. Veteran starting to get packed with superstars.

Air Raid was a S2 team too. We hung on to our zone defenders for a couple seasons and started replacing them a bit at a time over the next few seasons.

I'll admit zones are probably better now with the new SAs and buffs to the old SAs for zones. Galactic's team has become a turnover generating machine, but it's tough to say if it'll work at the highest levels of competition yet. He may hold a team like Air Raid to 500 yards passing, 4 TDs, and 3 INTs. They might also hold us to 800 yards passing and 10 touchdowns. I dunno.

lol, hey I am still a balanced offense so I am not going to get too crazy with these kind of predictions. Not going full Air Raid or anything. Po will get his though.

I tried several different zone teams in the testing phase and couldn't find a real good use for it as a full time defense. Despite a bunch of changes I still didn't see it being a worthwhile venture to try and cling to when the game went live. Even with Zone Shark SA it isn't even a decent looking premise.

First off they need SA's that fit safeties themselves in their deep zones because currently they have pretty much nothing besides 3dS and any hard hitting SA's. Everything benefits under zones which safeties dont play and the under zones pretty much suck besides LB's because the all zone plays mostly suck.

Essentially the only reason zones were ever good in GLB1 was because defenders were so fast and strong with VA's and SA's together. You couldn't put it in a spot without defenders closing in at the last second and KL'ing a ball from a player. After a swift nerf to Jackhammer and Zone Specialist VA's followed by making them SA's and terrible. Zone defense never has been relevant in either game since for the passing game.

This was basically the only way DC was able to beat good teams. Zone is decent against the run and we managed to get 2-3 interceptions a game. Once that happened, Sugar did his thing and would give us big leads that teams weren't able to come back from.
