WR2 on the bottom:

I was wondering if it's lack of jumping or reception awareness or a combo of the two? Does he stop thinking he could jump for it but then realize he can't jump that high? Does he fail an awareness check and stop because he misread how far the ball was going to go?

This happens every now and then with the players on my team (not just him), and I'm wondering if there's a fault in some of the builds that could rectify it.

This happens all the time on Air Raid. It's just an uncatcheable pass. No amount of awareness or jumping to reach it.

Does it happen with some receivers a bit more than others? Just trying to figure out if it can be mitigated a bit.

That's all on the QB, and like Galithor says it just happens all the time in GLB2, even to the very best QBs.

On the linked play, the QB did have to step slightly out of the pocket and that contributes to bad rolls, on the run can help with that.
