I'd like to see this as a stat line. More completions are prevented by the Nearby Defense than any other type and it means the defender is doing his job - his coverage was good and he broke up the play.

Even if the defender's name could appear in the sim description it would help, and mean that I don't have to rewind the play and look at the players in the formation to work out who is doing their job and who isn't.

I appreciate that sometimes there are 2 or 3 defenders involved in creating the call, but I suspect only one of them is actually 'Nearby', but that's pure speculation.

Hell of alot better than the "stick" stat.

More stats for defense is always a good thing. +1

It's counted as a target. Defender technically gets credited with a better recalw%

True, I'd still like a separate column or at least a name in the play description. Same with Missed Tackles, tbh.

Missed tackles is an awful idea, unless you want a paragraph for every play when a quality power back is on a roll.

You mean like GLB1? That was actually nice when scrolling through PbP's to see which plays your Dot actually broke tackles, and which were just good blocking. It's one of my biggest gripes with GLB2 is them not having that.

This, I don't care if its a wall of text. On turnovers we already have short paragraphs...what's the big deal if it's a medium paragraph. I want to see the badassedness of the play in the description.

It could just be - "QB Johnny Canton handed off to HB Sonic Boom for a 23 yard gain and a touchdown![MsTklCB1][MsTklROLB][MsTklSS] K CJ "Bullseye" Love attempted the extra point, and it was good!"

That wouldn't make the description much longer.

LOL - yeah, guess that'd be true. I've seem some mad play descriptions in GLB1 Vs Monster Backs where 5 or 6 defenders miss their tackles, but it doesn't interfere with the game and it does let you see which tecs need some work (while you still can)
