Alright folks welcome to season 8! Good luck to all. I look forward to another exciting year. Think back and we had some awesome games including some upsets and some nail biters.
Bad Meets Evil vs San Diego Hustlers - Hopefully the Hustlers can continue to or try to fill their roster. As of right now the owner has a few of his own dots on the team and then its cpu. Because of this I will have to choose my team BME here. I've learned to never over look anyone after last season but I would hope we can beat a CPU or I may need to take some coordinating classes.
Nebraska Cornhuskers vs Death Valley Devils - This could be a possible upset here. Im going to pick Nebraska because they are the reining champ and have a great team. I expect their balanced attack to be even tougher this season. DVD got tougher and tougher throughout the year. Early in the year they took some lickings but it seemed they got more comfortable as the season went on and found their rhythm. Im looking forward to seeing this one.
Fight Club vs WAR HAMMER - This could be a toss up game here. Last year I expected more from WAR who had a few ups but was mostly down. They look to have a solid roster. I think they could be a dark horse team this year to compete for a playoff spot but we will have to see how they progressed. Fight Club is a new team here. They had an ok season last year but towards the end they starting coming into their own. One of thier wins was against War in a ladder matchup. This should be a good game and im going to pick the new guys here. I could easily see this going either way however.
Seattle SuperSonics vs Hub City Hustlers - Oh man, what a way to start the season. I thought we had 2 interesting games before this one but this definitely has to be the game of the week. A rematch of a great playoff upset last year. I said in the regular season that it would be tough to be Hub 3 times in a season and in the playoffs they ended up beating Seattle. Both teams have a few roster changes so that will be interesting to see. The best chance to beat Seattle would be early probably with their new QB. Im going to take Seattle however in a close one. I could see Hub winning this and they may just win it because I picked Seattle lol.
Northern Uprising vs Gliwice Lions - Welcome to the Northern Uprising. Just keep chipping away and filling up your roster. This is a tough league to get thrown into. I like Gliwice in this one. They didnt have any roster changes and thier style of football should work better as we have aged. They are a good pass team which should see some improvements in it as well.
Helmand Provincial Pathan Pansies vs The Drunk Irishmen - I expected a lot more from HPPP last season. They were all over the map with some good wins and some bad losses. The Irishmen come in with almost a whole new oline, I dont know if that will be good or bad but chem wise it hurts some. With that said I could easily see HPPP taking this one but im still sticking with the Irishmen here.
