Current Build.
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/85481

Intended as a route runner who creates separation, Head Fake is gold, Catch in Stride, and Prime Time, will both be gold.
This is my current projected end build.

What do I need more of? What do I need less of? Why? Should I cut back on his sprinting a bit in favor of more balance, quickness and footwork? I could drop Sprinting to 85 and get Quickness to 75, I could even go 80-80 at this point which I'm kind of leaning towards.
Also does anyone need a Journeyman S* WR? I seem to be having a lot of trouble finding teams for this dot and was on a CPU team this past season.

Anyways tell me what you think.

I'd recommend 65 conditioning.

also would probably sacrifice 5-10 route elusiveness in favor of reception awareness and consistency.

And I'd ditch Catch-in-Stride for First Step.

Your Projected End Build doesn't line up with your SA choices.

First, if your going to get to 80 Rec Hands, why is he only at 60 now? Your drop rate is 27/180 - it's way too high. You should be under 10% drop rate by now.

Second, your going to Gold Prime Time but only end with 50 Rec Consistency? Why? I'm sorry but that's a major build mistake. You have to build to power the SAs you are taking. And only 25 in Vert and Diving with GOLD Prime Time? I'm sorry but that's another mistake. You want to increase the number of opportunities for PT to fire and you don't with low Vert/Diving. And 50 Rec Awareness is too low too as that helps you find spots to trigger a jump or dive.

Third, 70 Quickness, but no First Step? CiS instead with 55 Balance? Again, that's a build mistake.

Fourth, Head Fake is a good choice for 95 Route Elusive. I'd pull back on Footwork and Sprinting to max RE. GOLD HF gives you a minimum of 60% of your RE skill - so yes I'd max it to 97 and take a point off Sprinting and Footwork to pay for it. (I agree with Gal in that you need more RC and RA as stated above, but I disagree that you should pay for it with RE.)

Fifth, 25 Heart is too low. As is 25 Snap Reaction - with 70 Quickness? Again, build mistake. If you want to keep the 70 Quick, then find something to cut to add Snap.

You're a Shifty, you don't need top end Speed. I'd keep your 70 Speed and 50 Quickness where they currently are and start investing in the above. When you're done with other stuff, in Pro you can go back to Quick/Sprint and max them. If you need more in the meantime, then invest some along the way, but for now stop.

Power your SAs. Here's my Shifty S* WR http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/97220. It's why his build is open - so people can copy/learn.

Sorry, but you asked for feedback.

Why are you apologizing? I wish more people would respond like that, this is when I need to be reading this stuff.

Cool.

Ok, so if you implement multiple changes, you probably won't get to (or need) Route Elusiveness at 95-97. It'll probably be too expensive. (As Gal implied.) For reference, I'll be keeping my Rec Consistency on my S* WR at 86 to power Prime Time. So if you only get to 85-90 RE, then that's fine if you round out the build and line up the other SAs with the key skills that trigger/get effected by them.

If you're only looking for one change, then I'd push to 97 RE. If you're implementing more changes, then that probably doesn't happen and RE at/above 85 is probably good.

Balance. My only regret on my S* is not ending with 75-80 balance. The bump from 50 balance in pro to 60 in veteran was extremely noticeable. Catching, turning and getting up field much easier. You want YAC, don't spend another point in speed. Get balance.

Yeah...high balance drives CiS. My S* WR, Darth Maul:

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/96510

has Gold CiS but only 37 balance. I will spend the next however many SPs on balance until it is maxed (75) and then CiS should fire almost every time he catches a pass. Currently, his quickness and speed are at 55/65 so the CiS will give him 65/75.

Thanks for the input on balance.
I always hate watching WR's fall over after the catch, what about footwork, does that help at all when it comes to staying upright or is it strictly balance?

Footwork helps run around the defender after the catch. Gold CiS also gives +10 to footwork. It is important but not as important as quickness and sprinting.

Ok, well I think then I'll stop route elusivenss at 90, go 80-80 on sprinting and quickness, an use the extra points to get balance to ~64-65 which is what I should get out of that swap. Everything else will stay the same. I may leave CIT and Receiving grip at 50 and use some of my cap boosters on conditioning to 65, and a few points of heart. Maybe even quickness to 75 and more heart/toughness, but I'll make that choice during his last season before plateau depending on how his morale goes.
