I'm hoping my build is open, if not let me know.

If I need to remake, please let me know. I'm going for catching focus, rather than running with the ball. Any advice welcome, more than willing to remake since I just started the game if it looks like my WR is going to suck.

Will not be boosting, seems to be a question I get asked

I feel like 6 stamina and confidence is overkill. 4-5 is fine, and allows you to push speed and agility higher, resulting in lower costs for sprinting and quickness.

Even if you aren't building for RAC, you need physicals just to get separation. I tried a catch build, and he sucked cause he was eiether, A) overlooked due to being covered, or 2) unable to makes catches because coverage was too tight.

Thanks a bunch for the insight, I may end up remaking him once I find some info in the forums for creation basics (don't need a handholding for build, but a good start never hurt lol)

Honestly could probably drop Sta to 4 and bump awr and confidence to 7 and be fine. 1 or 2 more speed will only impact sprinting. 1 or 2 agi could help but i think on a wr awr and conf both play a roll in your catching caps. Not 100% on that but i think so.

Also as a rookie being able to catch the ball is more important then running with the ball early on.

Get these skills to these caps:

route tech - 65
route elusiveness - 65
receiving hands - 70
receiving grip - 40
catch in traffic - 40
receiving awareness - 55
receiving consistency - 55

balance - 40
footwork - 30
quickness - 60
sprinting - 80
conditioning - 60
toughness - 30
snap reaction - 40
heart - 30

SAs: gold head fake, gold first step, silver prime time.

You'll have points leftover to play with however you want. More sprinting? More quickness, route tech, route elusiveness? Higher catching skills? some carrying skills? Wanna boost vertical and diving to improve your catch radius? Whatever else you do, if you do what I listed above, then at the very least your player will be capable of getting open and catching passes with enough mobility to threaten an occasional homerun shot. Such a build will not suck and pretty much any offensive coordinator can put him to use.

Hey this is my first season in glb and I went WR because some friends were making a team.

I made a terrible player then remade him about a week ago. Keep in mind this is a speed WR.

I used 8 speed, 9 awareness, 1 strength, 5 stamina, 3 confidence, 9 agility with soft hands+shifty+egotist

That's not a perfect build but it was a good one.

His maxes are:

Hands - 80

Route Tech - 90

Route elusiveness - 86

Catch in traffic - 41

Grip - 28

Receiving consistency - 47

Elusive Running - 82

Carrying awareness - 81

Return Awareness - 85

Block Tech - 67

Block Aware - 73

Block Power - 26

Block consistency - 38

Balance - 75

Footwork - 86

Quickness - 93

Sprinting - 87

Vertical - 91

Diving - 80

Conditioning - 38

Toughness - 25

Snap Reaction - 80

Heart - 26

Intimidation - 28

SO as you can see he is going to be a very dangerous route runner and has good hands awareness and reactions, not to mention he has nice elusive running and could also be a returner at the same time.

I suggest using Head Fake, Catch in Stride, and Prime Time for your 3 abilities during your career.

I know I'm a month late but oh well haha
