I'm working on some formulas that help weigh teams better by there strength/weaknesses, but I have a feeling it's going to double the tabs on my spreadsheets if I do it the way I really want

Or until I learn some scripting...whichever is first. (which I'm actually trying to learn atm too )

Or I could just stick to Ladder games... that might be a way as well.

I totally missed the part about teams that you aren't keeping track of. As you were!

That is probably the best way to analyze stats in this way. Ladder matches are more balanced than the league matchups.

What about adding a new category that only compares it with Top teams, which you already have right? So it'd be a teams defensive yards allowed adjusted for +/- yards compared to how many the team they played puts up on average.

It would also partially be a Strength of Schedule indicator, and kind of help normalize insane stats that are buoyed by mostly (or all) CPU league opponents.

However, I suppose the sample size would be smaller for teams ranked in the 20's, since some of their opponents wouldn't have charted averages.

The only issue with this is, what about teams with an insanely tough league vs those with a weaker league? I may have to do away with Overall Wins/losses as a weighted column in that regard, but it would be good teams vs good teams in that case...

And it's only 16 games to keep track of

I'll have to run those numbers and see how I like it lol...

Nah, it's an excel spreadsheet I enter data into manually for now. I'm working on a better method (script related), but it'll take some time to finish. Once I get that, I'll be able to put in more than just the top 25

Aeir, I have a table that is logging teams data. Wonder if we can leverage some of it for you.

Yeah I know, I just don't have the resources in place to utilize it at the moment. So a little old school here and there will have to do.

Once I finish my final project tonight, I'll be able to spend a bunch more time on it.
