Death grip doesn't work nearly as well for the defense as Power through does for the halfback. I could have a defender with 90 tackling tech and high grip with death grip and he would still probably get run over half the time when power through fires.

Running is strong at rookie even when there are virtually no broken tackles, so reducing the amount of broken tackles at higher levels would not "drastically gimp" the running game in my opinion. But yea, you could add a 4 yard halo to it or whatever it would take to not make it overpowered.

Not to mention that adding this SA to an LB or safety would take the spot of another useful SA such as first step or closing speed which would slightly reduce the chance of the defender even getting in position to make a tackle.

Just nerf down morale's affect on the game overall, then we can go back to talking about actual football strategy.
