Why do team owners build one agent teams? To avoid Chemistry issues.
Let's take an MMO-style game and incentivize solo play.
Another Chem idea:
The more unique agents on a team roster, the higher the Chemistry starting point for adding a new player. (Starting in Soph; Rookie not eligible.)
This would be a BENEFIT to teams with multiple agents and wouldn't hurt the solo owner teams.
Example: Roster of 42 players from 10 different agents. Adding a new player either from an existing agent or a new agent, would give the new teammate a bonus of X-squared to starting Chem. So once you have 10 different agents with players on a team, new players could be added at 100 Chemistry.
If you had 4 agents on a team, starting Chem would be 16.
If you had 5 agents on a team, starting Chem would be 25.
If you had 6 agents on a team, starting Chem would be 36.
If you had 7 agents on a team, starting Chem would be 49.
etc..
This would ENCOURAGE teams to have more agents. It would ENCOURAGE older more established players/groups to reach out to NEW CUSTOMERS and integrate them onto teams.
And it wouldn't hurt the solo team owner who builds a full Rookie team and keeps them till Vet.
And as Gal says, if you don't like this, then don't do it, but please, please, please "do something"!
This is the jumping-off point of a brilliant idea. Simply squaring the number doesn't quite work for me (10 agents = perfect chemistry, screw that, I think 20 agents is a better number personally), but that's far from the most important detail here.
