basically, you send out a request to the owner of another team (like you do with a scrim)... if accepted on the other end, both teams show on their team page that they are rivals

It would be REALLY easy to code, and fun to see who a teams rivals are when looking at a team

Sending someone an invite to be your "rival" seems pretty silly. Especially if there's no other mechanic besides showing the other team's name on your page.

May as well call them Sister Teams. Or affiliates. Or Friends.

Could help to determine which teams to put in which league after the season, if a league folds...

But I agree, it's a bit silly: "Do you want to be my rival? Yes? No? Maybe?"

yea this is kind of my idea behind it

and I'm not necessarily friends with my rivals... I dont really talk to anyone on Hawaii or Salty, but consider them ones... ditto with Andes Chinchilas

Could have rivals get a plus to toughness vs each other, or plus to heart, or to power hitting, higher energy/morale drain, etc..

Not that it would make much of a difference if both teams get the same bonuses, but it's a thought.

oh that would be cool.... like everyone gets +5 heart. It would make sense of a rivalry game.

Could be more team they play each season that is always a close game

A game counter would be nice (fits very well in a team history page ), so you can see which team you played, how often.
