i have recently hit the decision that deflecting is the more important skill for any one you want to make coverage based dot, regardless if they are safety, cornerbacks or linebackers. how does every one feel on this statement.

I don't know that it works by itself, but you certainly can't be an effective endgame coverage build without it being pretty high.

Yeah, I don't know why you would build a coverage bot without deflecting. Even if you don't get the PD, I believe that you can still get a piece of the ball and make the catch roll much harder. I would also argue that coverage tech is as important or more important. I put coverage tech even on my non-cover bots because I want them to be in the vicinity to KL if the catch is made.
