The race for alpha is likely going to be the closest of the three divisions, although i would imagine Akron and Capua will be hoping to finish in the #2 rank, and play the winner of Alpha rather than #1 and play either Hookers or Puppies!

The ever improving Convicts roster finally managed to get a W on the board agianst the dodgy CPU filled PC roster...they will be hoping to pull away from the others in the "race" for the wooden spoon.
Phuket Nightwalkers Vs New York Cutsoms
Prediction: Hookers to sneak win
Actual: Hookers sneak win 38-0
Gaius led the Hookers to 632 yards and 5 TD's whilst managing to clock up an 80% completion %...the Sniffer dogs did nothing of note and didnt manage to get close to the Hookers endzone.
Capua Gladiators Vs ENMU Greyhounds

Prediction: Puppies by a FG
Actual: Puppies by a TD
The romans took the lead in the 1st Q and looked to take control...however the puppies had other ideas and at the half were leading 14-7...this is how it stayed until the finish. 3 missed FG's (2 for the Romans, 1 for the Puppies) showed the difficulty of early career kicking although if they were all made the outcome would have been the same. Both teams struggled with their passing games (37 & 41% completions) and the game came down to who had the most effective running game...and it was the puppies.
There is now half a game lead in Beta for the Romans over the Hookers meaning every game is important in the race for the playoffs in Beta.
In Gamma the Chasers hold a 1 game lead over the puppies so the same can be said for these teams, alpha...well Alpha is going to have to make some significant improvements to even stand a chance of making it through the first playoff game!
Ember City Mastodons Vs Akorn Dawgs

Actual: Chasers
A FF on the opening drive killed the Elephants moral and likely their slim chance in this game. ALthough they certianly held their own and i think that the scoreline maybe made it look a little more one sided than it was, the elephants are a good team and the Chasers showed that they are a clear top 10 team in this tier by brushing them aside.
5-1 for the week and 21-9 this season, so starting to look a little more respectable!
Week 6 doesnt look like it will be a perticularly spectacular week but could be a week of surprises!
