that being said, don't make a superstar LB. Not worth the salary, imo.

What?!?! LB is one of the best salary efficient S* positions in my opinion. It's just hard to find people willing to forego making a qb or hb.

I'd suggested they turn FS and SS into just S awhile back in like season 2. They'd work the same ways as LBs, able to play any safety position. The OOP for FS and SS could go away. Then, you'd also more easily be able to implement the modern 4-2-5 defense that utilizes a WS.
And... it'd eliminate the SS vs S* confusion

It quickly devolved into an absurd argument about the semantic difference between Safety vs SS/FS and LB vs RLB/MLB/etc. I'm pretty sure that's the thread that caused me to finally put Jampy on ignore.

Great idea. I'm already angry that I was forced to make my FS an OOP run stuffer... Why can a FS play CB and a SS can play LB, but not the other?
