If you watch your team, only the QB really maintains his morale, which is a huge issue for later in the game unless you manage to get Prime Time to fire a lot.

I'm fairly certain the fire chance is modified by something we can't see. There's no way it even remotely approaches 50%, even against a 13 toughness QB.

It'd be unbelievably overpowered though if it did fire as often as the description would indicate.

it should have a high chance to fire if a player is investing 6 SPs into it. if one attribute taken up to 40 negates this kind of damage i really don't see what all the tears are about. so the next 3 games a player plays has to go towards toughness... so what?

Fire rate would be relative to players intimidation not opponent toughness. Damage of morale is modified by opponent toughness.

Least this is how it should be.

If it takes 100 intimidation to get a 70% fire rate at gold. Then anything less would be less activation chance. Example 50 intimidation yielding an avg of 35% activation at gold.

This is an ooooold point being rehashed. At 100 intimidation, Trash Talk will fire regularly.

Need more games, but it doesn't appear to be in a bad spot so far this season.

Can't say that I like the artificial "floor" on the damage it can cause. Probably would've preferred we just got a 50% nerf to it's damage instead of the 25% nerf + toughness floor. Or, you know, it could do what it's description says, and actually cause just 12 damage (max, modified down by QB toughness) which would've been much more than a 50% nerf to the 27+ damage it was able to inflict before.

It seems to me like coming up with the idea to put a floor on the impact was a whole lot of extra effort to try and balance it when just fixing it to work as described probably would've been good enough.

We still don't know how high the floor gets based on toughness.

When we scrimmed DC Corrupt Politicians, it seemed like the floor was in the upper 50s-lower 60s range. No idea what Sugar Honey Iced Tea's toughness is though.

We've certainly see much lower floors in games following that.
